A wear rate model incorporating inflationary cost of agro-waste filled composites for brake pad applications to lower composite cost

Abstract Wear rate appraisals are currently indispensable on agro-waste filled composites for brake pads as they predict the expected lifespan of materials. However, existing wear models inaccurate predictions omit inflationary cost In this paper, idea is to account materials and adjust that into a pseudo model. The fillers in an organic matrix create under dry sliding experiments was considered. Five composite specimens were fabricated cylindrical specimen height 14.5 mm varying diameters 8, 10, 12 15.5 material loss measured. 10 diameter revealed with best worst resistance rates 0.6, 1.4, 1.73 3 /Nm, 3.07, 3.54, 4.19 respectively. showed lower 2.13 2.14 1.56 /Nm than commercial pad’s 2.58 /Nm. model predicts impact independent variable i.e. cost, opportunity time, sample size. utility effort assist manufacturers take cost-effective decisions design optimisation can be accomplished products.
